Fat-freezing, also known as cryotherapy, is a procedure that uses cold temperatures to eliminate fat. We use the CRYO 21 method to eliminate fat cells by creating a thermal shock and reducing the temperature of the adipose cells by 5-6 °C, which causes them to undergo an intrinsically mediated cell death called apoptosis. It is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that lasts around 30 minutes. Patients can start seeing the results after the first treatment and lose up to 12 cm or 5 sizes after 4 to 6 treatments. Fat-freezing removes stubborn localised fat that is not affected by diet or exercise. Cryotherapy is perfect for men and women of all skin types and helps remove fat cells from upper arms, love handles, tummy, thighs, calves, and back. without the pain!
What makes this treatment unique?
- We use a specific massage technique which, in conjunction with the CRYO 21, helps us get the best results by cooling the adipocytes and encouraging fluid removal.
- Once the procedure is completed, we spend several minutes massaging the residual cream into the skin, which helps promote blood flow back into the treated area. This is important as we want the area to return naturally (cf T-Shock) to body temperature and create a thermal shock.
- Studies have shown that when administering cold to ‘white fat’, this will promote the growth of blood vessels that converts the white fat to brown fat, which is much easier for the body to metabolize.
- Our method is completely different from other cryo-methods since our cold probe is manually moved in places it wants to remove fat. In other models, it is attached to the body with vacuum which often gives burn marks or bruising and has very limited treatment area.
